I bought a PS5 just to play this game for 120+ hours unlocking almost everything, the game is mostly a masterpiece but I did not like the last chapter and the ending at all, very hive twisted scenes, for some minutes I thought I was watching Spiderman across the spider verse movie, why Square Enix killed Aerith again? She is the only mage character of the 9, the story is already very changed, so why kill such a cool character. I am really really disappointed.

But then Sephiroth intervened

They were good during that era where full and splash attack still make difference, now it's laughable even without Quina with HP DMG taken up debuff, hats off for the nuke LD effort

Replaying the main game and then the DLC’s. Time flies by so fast when you play something as immersive as FFXVI.

Do you selfs (and every one that still follow the FF7R project) a favor. Stick to the multiverse angle and dont make for a third time in the row my worst fears for this project a reality. Because if in the end all of this is nothing more than worlds created in the lifestream. That answer will created and mess of epic proportions because of a simple question. Who is the insane person that created this worlds and made everyone (innocent and guilty) to relive their most horrible moments of their lifes? And for what? Unfortunately for you neither Sephiroth of Salome have that power over the lifestream. Which leaves only one person behind all of this... Or im just wrong again like in so many things in the FF7R project.

It definitely had it's faults with the open world ( which i hope will be addressed in part 3 ) but i truly believe this is one of the top 5 video games of all time...people will look back on this greatness one day

How to personify the feeling of this. Not only the initial feeling of the notes, but when FFVII was released and we played it back in high school, the IT factor that cannot be put into words. This nostalgic and euphoric feeling when it was re-done so well during a time of unrest. Hell, I'm gonna have a hard enough time getting my boy to play FFVII and understand all of this!

I just finished reading Final Fantasy VII Remake: Traces of Two Pasts Novel, and it really touched me. Tifa's story, both in the game and in the real-life context, was so poignant. And Aerith's story was just adorable! It was truly an experience to savor. Thank you for sharing this journey!
